This is a tour design for you to see the floating village at Kompong Plhouk and to experience what the daily lives of local people looks like. Be amazed by a high stilts houses about 6-9 meters from the ground to protect for the up-level of water from the great lake (Tonle Sap) during the wet season (September-January), This village can be visit yearly around. From February to September you will see the village in a dry season way. There are 4 different floating village in Siem Reap to go to, Chong Kneas is becoming the most commercial floating village where there is a mixture of Vietnamese and Cambodians living their lives on the great lake of Tonle Sap (the largest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia), the other are May Chrey, Kompong Kleang and Kompong Plouk village. Our tour is going to Kompong Plouk Village and this village is a beautiful and really is the most exciting floating village where you can go to experience the daily lives and way of local living of the Villagers. You will get a chance to see local villagers fishing and logging, visit local market, local monastery and even visit one of their stilts houses.
