Pushing deeper along the plateau, the forest opened onto a sweeping cliffside ridge with views stretching across an endless ocean of canopy. The final leg of the trek led us down a steep, rocky descent toward a deep, reverberating roar. As the trees parted, the magnificent multi-tiered waterfall crashed into a broad emerald basin, sending a refreshing cloud of mist through the shaded grove—a sanctuary of cool water and quiet wonder at the heart of Cambodia’s holy mountain.
